Design Tips
Oriental Lilies are quite fragrant; almost over powering if the arrangement consists of only Oriental Lilies. This product is very versatile and can be used for all types of floral works including vases, arrangements and bouquets. It is a very good wedding flower which can be left long for large arrangements or cut short for the bride’s bouquet. These beautiful blossoms work well in mixed seasonal arrangements and more contemporary styled designs. Lilies are excellent focal flowers.
Ethylene Sensitivity
Ethylene sensitivity depends on variety. Leaf, bud and/or flower drop are results of the exposure to ethylene.
Pest & Disease Information
Susceptible to botrytis.
Troubleshooting
To prevent bud drop or drying, use an ethylene action inhibitor treatment. For premature leaf yellowing, use an anti-yellowing treatment at farm level after harvest, and use bulb crop or lily specific flower food. Pollen sheds stain whatever they touch. Remove them when the flower opens.
