What to Look for When Purchasing
Choose stems that are not bent. Some curvature is natural for this crop. Avoid any blackened or wilted tips as this could be a sign of ethylene exposure or dehydration. Look for turgidity in the bells.
Flowers have delicate stems which could be damaged when inserted into foam. If using in foam be sure to hydrate overnight prior, use OASIS® Springtime for easier stem insertion.
Bells of Ireland add a wild and natural element to floral creations with wonderful texture and height to complement mixed arrangements. Be sure to hydrate well prior to designing and create arrangements as close to event as possible to keep flowers fresh. Use FloraLife® Finishing spray to keep flowers fresh and hydrated. Bells of Ireland will typically bloom small, white flowers within the bells.
Highly sensitive to ethylene. Exposure can lead to premature wilting and leaf yellowing. Bells of Ireland naturally produce high amounts of ethylene.
