Floral Pros Recognize Express Technology

2016 was a big year for news about Floralife’s Express Technology – a solution that eliminates the need to recut flower stems during the harvest, wholesale and retail phases of the flower chain. Now, in the New Year, our friends at BloomNet and Floriology Magazine are helping to spread the word about Express Technology’s time and labor savings!

First, we introduced our new Express Technology in Floralife’s storage and transport product solutions:  Express Clear 200 (regular formula) and Express Clear ULTRA 200 (concentrated formula). At the time, these formulas were designed for use with roses.

Then, after we tested of our NO STEM RECUT solution on many additional varieties of flowers, we announced that Express Technology offered those flowers the same time, labor and waste management savings as it did for roses.

Finally, we backed that up with a Research Update detailing the additional varieties of flowers we tested. Alstroemeria, mums, carnations, gerbera, tulips and others all enjoyed favorable results from Express Technology!

Express Technology Receives Positive Press

Now, the BloomNet publication Floriology has taken notice. In a recent issue, the magazine, which goes out to every member of the 1-800 Flowers family, featured the history and research behind Express Technology. They noted its potential to “transform the way we process fresh cut flowers in the floriculture market today – providing opportunities to reduce costs in labor, transportation, waste management and processing time and space.”

Additionally, BloomNet’s Floriology Institute offers Principles & Elements of Floral Design training courses at its Jacksonville FL facility. So, in conjunction with the magazine article, the Institute announced that it was “installing the full Floralife flower care system and providing training at its October classes. What’s more, BloomNet members will be receiving a special trial kit, free of charge. More details are also in the works to offer a special program for all members to purchase the flower care system and ongoing fulfillment programs.”
