Floralife Express Technology Saves Time & Effort

express01Would you like to save time and effort when processing roses? Who wouldn’t, right? Where would this these time savings start? How about recutting stems? We know that recutting is an important step to eliminate the blockages that occur naturally at the base of a cut stem, and helps the flower to hydrate more efficiently. Well, Floralife has a new development: Express Technology.

Floralife, a division of Smithers-Oasis Company proudly announces the launch of our Express Technology – a technology that eliminates the need to recut rose stems. The Express Technology has the potential to transform the way we process fresh cut roses in the floriculture market today.

“This new technology will give our customer more control and options in their fresh cut flower processing,” says Jim Daly, Vice President of Floralife, OASIS® Grower Solutions, Research and Technology. “With Floralife’s Express Technology our customers will not only realize savings in their operations, but a transformative opportunity that they will see in harvesting, shipping, handling and designing.”

Initially, the Express Technology will be introduced in Floralife’s storage and transport product solutions:  Express Clear 200 (regular formula) and Express Clear ULTRA 200 (concentrate formula), specifically for roses.

Let’s take a look at the features and benefits of Floralife’s Express Clear 200 and Express Clear ULTRA 200:

Features and benefits:

  • Provides a balanced formula to lower the pH and increase
    the speed of flower hydration
  • Provides the appropriate amount of nutrients to maintain flower buds
and prevent bent neck in flowers
  • Eliminates the need to recut the ends of rose stems before placing
    in the treatment solution
  • Shorter stem allowance for packaging and shipping
  • Eliminates one step in processing to help reduced labor
  • Can be used on fresh cut roses and roses that are stored dry
    for less than two weeks

So, if you process a lot of roses, Express Technology could mean considerable time and effort savings for you. What do you think? Could this be a plus for your operation?
