Many factors contribute to a flower’s vase life including variety, growing conditions, and postharvest treatments. With this high value market, attention to the controllable postharvest treatment is crucial. Flower food is the last stage of cut flower care, and studies show flower food encourages proper flower opening and coloration with extended vase life through hydration and nutrition.
